So much happened this month!

Abby participated in a derby at her therapy clinic. Several Power Wheels cars were donated to the clinic and adapted to be switch operated. I think there were even a few that had joysticks put in them. There was a simple course set up, complete with a block wall to crash through. It was such a fun event! Spencer was able to drive too, which made him a very happy boy. But the best part was that we got to keep Abby's car! Fun times at our house!

Abby had a big blue button attached to the steering wheel that activated the car. She did pretty well making it go on her own.

Mother's Day.

This was the first time in 2 years that I had to watch the Primary kids sing in church. I don't get to hide behind the piano anymore - I am no longer the Primary pianist. I was nervous about having to sit and watch Abby get up with the rest of the kids (including Spencer) and not be singing. But it turned out to be no big deal. Yay for little victories!

My car has a new decoration.

We finally requested a handicap placard. Now that Abby is using her walker, we really need closer parking.

The tooth fairy made another stop at our house! Some tooth fairies leave money. But our tooth fairy leaves chocolate!! A much more gratifying prize in my opinion....at least for now, anyway.

Abby wouldn't hold her tooth fairy pouch long enough for me to take a picture. She was more interested in the M&M's that were inside it.

Spencer went on his first camping trip! He and Anthony went to our church's annual Fathers and Sons camp out. It was just one night, but Spencer was so excited about it! He talked all week about how he and Daddy were going to sleep in a tent. He had a great time, and has been talking about bacon ever since.

While the boys were away, Abby and I did some girly things at home and went for a stroll at the park.

The biggest event of the month was Abby's Preschool graduation. She looked absolutely adorable in her cap and gown - which she actually left on for more than 2 seconds!! That is a HUGE deal for her! She walked all the way to the front of the room and then decided she was done with them. But that's okay with me - It was long enough to get it on my camera!

The long sleeves made it a little difficult for her to hold on to her walker. I love that she looked over at us with her wide eyes.

We LOVE Miss Suzanne and are going to miss her so much! She is an amazing teacher and we have been so blessed to have her in our lives for the last two years.

We are so proud of our little graduate!

To celebrate Abby's big day, I made pink cupcakes to go along with her graduation present - a new Pinkalicious book. 

We have several Pinkalicious books. Abby loves them and we read them EVERY day. If you are familiar with these books, then you know how much Pinkalicious loves pink cupcakes. Apparently Abby also shares that love. She couldn't have cared less about her new book! She just shoved it aside. All she wanted to do was get her hands on those cupcakes! It was pretty funny.

The day of Abby's graduation also happened to be her 3-year anniversary. It's crazy that it has been that long already. Thankfully, just like the Mother's Day song at church, this milestone turned out to be no big deal. It seems to have lost it's sting....for now, at least. I think it helped that we had something happy to celebrate that day too. I actually asked myself if all my graduation preparations were a way of compensating for what that day really was. I decided that it wasn't. Her graduation was a big deal and we wanted her to feel special. It was a good day.
