Abby was able to use her iPad to give her very first talk in Primary a few weeks ago. The theme for the month was "The family is central to God's plan" so I wrote something short and sweet for her to deliver. Here she is practicing at home before church.
You can listen to the song that we quoted here. It's called "The Family if of God" and all the Primary children are learning it this year. It's one of my favorites.
And here are a few pictures from Easter Sunday.
Abby has been using her walker a lot more. She takes it to school and church now, and we even took it to a couple of doctors appointments. Her wheelchair has just been sitting in the garage collecting dust. (I think that is a perfect place for it, don't you?) We really didn't use the wheelchair much anymore anyway - only to get her from the car to her classroom at school. But we are so glad that she enjoys using a walker now. For so long she just did not want anything to do with walkers. But over Christmas break, she started showing interest in a shopping cart that her preschool teacher let us borrow.
(This video is from January. We put big water jugs in the cart to weigh it down.)
As you can see, she got to the point where she could push the cart by herself, so I mentioned it to her therapists and they started using a walker during her sessions again. And this time around she actually wanted to use it! So now here we are, several months later, with her cruising around like she owns the place. She is even starting to get the hang of lifting the walker to turn (since we still have the front wheels locked). So proud of her!

She is so sweet. Her persistence (& yours) is so inspiring!!! I love seeing her progress updates! We're cheering for you!!
