Fun Times

Abby got to do a lot of sensory activities in therapy this week. She loves to touch things and explore them with her hands. Her fingers are ALWAYS working on something. This week we were able to introduce solid cheese into her diet. She did great eating it, but mostly she just wanted to squish the little cubes between her fingers... But in therapy she got to play in the grass 3 days in a row! We don't have grass at our house (sad!) so this was new for her and she loved it. She just wanted to lay in it. Every time we tried to sit her up or get her to walk in it, she would dive right back down. It was cute.

Another day she had a combo PT/OT exercise that she loved. She stood (and kneeled) at a sink that was filled with bubbles and toys. She had fun getting all 'soapy' but mostly she loved putting her hands under the running water. Actually, she tried multiple times to climb into the sink! She kept raising her legs up to the edge of the counter to try and get in. Ha!

Anthony has been in a flag football league with a group of friends for the last 4 or 5 years. Wednesday night was the championship game for this season (which they won!). I took the kids down to watch for a while. We didn't get to stay long because a certain little boy wouldn't stay out of the playing field...but Abby looked cute.
And it reminded me of a post I had on my blog from last year. There was one day when I was folding laundry and Abby found Anthony's team shirt. She recognized it as the shirt Daddy wears when he goes to play football. She got it on and then grabbed some socks to put on her hands like gloves. Then she proudly announced, "See ya later! I gotta go football gaming!" I just about died when I heard her say 'football gaming.' I don't know where she came up with that. So cute!

We have definitely been taking advantage of our *GORGEOUS* weather. I've been going out on walks with the kids in the afternoon. Don't they look thrilled? They had better enjoy it while it lasts, because in another month or two it will be 115 degrees and too hot to go outside. Ugh!
